DW's documentary "Georgia at a crossroads between Russia and the EU" takes viewers to the capital Tbilisi, Gori, and Rustavi, where the team followed young pro-European activists, interviewed university professors and conducted research along the demarcation line of the Russian-occupied Georgian province of South Ossetia. The team also visited small farmers in rural, a Georgian Orthodox monastery, and explored Tbilisi's creative scene.

DW Director General Peter Limbourg: "Journalists in Georgia have shared with me the challenging conditions they face in their work. The future of a free press is at risk, and through its election coverage, DW is offering vital perspectives and information to help the Georgian people make informed decisions about that future."

The documentary is available in 29-minute and 14-minute versions for Russian and Georgian-speaking audiences and will be broadcast by Georgian partner stations.

The Russian version can be found on the DW Russian YouTube channel, while a short version of the documentary, titled "Georgia votes on its future: Where is the country headed?" is available in English on the DW Documentary YouTube channel.
