Aid officials say up to three million people in Haiti have been affected by the worst earthquake in centuries

nternational aid efforts are underway to help the earth quake victims in Haiti - after a magnitude 7 earth quake struck some 15 kilometers outside the capital - Port-au-Prince. Haiti's worst quake in two centuries devastated buildings across the capital. It was quickly followed by strong aftershocks. It's unclear how many lives have been lost in the disaster but witnesses say thousands could still be buried under the rubble. Special French relief teams have already left Marseilles and Martinique. The US, Venezuela, Iceland and Itay are sending rescue team as well. And Pope Benedict has ordered that the Roman Catholic Church's extensive worldwide charity network be immediately activated to help the victims.
