Berlin - Waterside City

There are more than twenty lakes and eleven swimming beaches in the German capital. One of the oldest is Strandbad Wannsee. Berliners have been coming here for more than a century.

It's a good place to begin a boat trip that takes you all the way into the city centre: a distance of around 46 kilometers. The boat glides past the German parliament, a former border crossing point, and a number of beach bars set up along the river banks. After three hours the tour will reach the famous Museum Island.
