UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says he will send a top official to Burma, to urge the military regime to open up its borders to foreign aid workers. UN aid chief John Holmes is to accompany a delivery of aid to Rangoon. Ban is also calling for a high-level donors conference to raise money for Burma, still reeling from the effects of Cyclone Nargis. A first shipment of aid from Germany has now arrived in Burma -- but distributing the supplies will be restricted to BURMESE aid workers.
