Dortmund put Bayern's title hopes on ice, Wolfsburg awful

A whipped cross to savour from Henrikh Mkhitaryan was finished off cooly by the in-form Shinji Kagawa to calm any early thoughts that Dortmund were going to gift Bayern some capital title celebrations.

Adrian Ramos dribbled through Stuttgart's defense and fired goalwards but was denied by a superb stop from Tyton, however Dortmund were not deterred. American wonderkid Christian Pulisic soon tapped home a rebound after Tyton spilled Mkhitaryan's shot to all but settle it. There was also time for man of the match (and perhaps Dortmund's season) Mkhitaryan to score one of his own.

Hertha Berlin 0-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern will have to wait at least one more week before any title celebrations can begin after a lacklustre performance in the German capital. Even with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller and Douglas Costa starting, a committed Hertha side held Pep Guardiola's side for long periods..

Naturally, the in-form Arturo Vidal stepped up to save Bayern once again. The Chilean's deflected effort looked messy, but counted all the same. Soon afterwards, the midfielder picked up a yellow and just like that, everything was back to normal for Bayern. Ten minutes before the end, Costa cut inside from the right wing and sent a moving rocket of a shot past a hopeless Thomas Kraft to make sure Bayern's first trip to Berlin this season included three points.

Wolfsburg 0-2 Augsburg

Wolfsburg's terrible Bundesliga form continued, to Dieter Hecking's woe and their visitor's delight. Alfred Finnbogason's goalscoring streak just keeps going. After 773 Bundesliga minutes, the Iceland striker added his sixth Bundesliga goal following Max Kruse's horrible first touch to set up Augsburg's counterattack.

Naldo missed a chance to head home an equalizer, but midway through the second half, Augsburg took advantage of another error from the home side. Diego Benaglio spilled a shot and Halil Altintop scored the rebound to all-but confirm a huge three points for Markus Weinzierl's team. Wolfsburg are stumbling towards the end of their season and will be more than just disappointed with their display on the day and of late.

Cologne 4-1 Darmstadt
(Modeste 3', 35', Risse 53', 74' - Gondorf 12')

A pair of braces ended Cologne's lingering concern of being pulled into a relegation fight, but left Darmstadt very much back in trouble.

The visitors ball-watched as Anthony Modeste broke through to fire Cologne ahead off the post. Less than 10 minutes later and Jerome Gondorf pounced on Filip Mladenovic's hesitancy to equalize.

Modeste has quietly had a very good season and his 14th goal of the season - a fine first touch and finish - was evidence of that, and restored the home side's lead.

Despite Darmstadt clattering the woodwork twice in a desperate attempt to get back into the game, Marcel Risse's second-half brace ended the contest. The winger first embarrased Junior Diaz before scoring an outrageous goal, bending in a cross into the far corner with the outside of his foot. Then he drilled a low shot across the box neatly into the far corner.

Ingolstadt 2-2 Hannover

A recent upturn in form has left Hannover stubbornly refusing to accept a relegation that seemed an inevitability not long ago, and more of that was (just about) on show in Ingolstadt. After Alfredo Morales drifted in between the defense to head home inside the box, there was a glimmer of hope for the visitors after Romain Bregerie's red card. Five minutes later though, the 10 men of Ingolstadt doubled up with Moritz Hartmann's header.

Shortly before the hour mark, Hiroki Sakai fired in one, but, like Hannover's season, it seemed too little, too late. Hiroshi Kiyotake poked home in the final ten minutes though, keeping Hannover's hopes of staying in the top flight alive by a thread.

For Hannover to survive, Frankfurt have to lose tomorrow against Mainz, Werder Bremen have to lose their last three games and Hannover have to win their last three.
