Bundesliga Matchday 26: In Pictures
Late winner
Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky reaches in vain as Michy Batshuayi scores in the 94th minute to win the match for Borussia Dortmund. This was the second of the game for the Belgian international, who is on loan from Chelsea.
Hometown Blues
Claudio Pizarro scored 144 goals in 271 games for Werder Bremen but his homecoming was not one to remember. Cologne failed to get the win they needed at fellow strugglers Bremen, losing 3-1. And Pizarro missed a chance at 2-1 that the Pizarro of old would have gobbled up.
Nobody's a winner
It's hard to tell who got the better of this battle between Leipzig midfielder Diego Demme and Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez. In the end, nobody got the better of either goalkeeper either, as the two sides had to settle for a goal-less draw.
Crossbar challenge
Robert Lewandowski is unable to keep his penalty under the bar as he fails to make it six for Bayern Munich against Hamburg. However, the Pole got another chance from the spot a few minutes later and didn't fail a second time, chalking up Bayern's sixth and his third of the game.
Flat out
Hertha Berlin captain Vedad Ibisevic lays in front of the Freiburg goal after missing a chance to give the Berliners the lead at the Olympic Stadium. It was a game of few chances against Freiburg, who take a valuable poitn away from the German capital. Hertha have recorded just one win in their last eight Bundesliga games.
Last ditch
Wolfsburg's defenders try to clear the ball off the line, but it proved to be in vain as Hoffenheim open the scoring courtesy of Nico Schulz. Wolfsburg stayed in the game until the 77th minute, when the hosts added a second before making it three soon after. Wolfsburg remain level on points with Mainz, who occupy the relegation playoff position.
Away days
Augsburg striker Michael Gregoritsch celebrates in front of the Hannover fans as his two goals helped Augsburg to victory. Gregoritsch has now scored 11 Bundesliga goals this season as the Austrian continues to feel at home at Augsburg, for whom Europa League qualification is a realistic prospect.
Lucky No.13
Lucas Alario celebrates his goal against Borussia Mönchengladbach, which saw Leverkusen leapfrog Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt to go third. Alario's strike from close range was the 25-year-old Argentine's eighth of the season for Leverkusen.
Misty Mainz
Smoke fills the Opel Arena ahead of kick off in Mainz on Friday night. The game had to be delayed by six minutes while the smoke from flares from the Mainz supporters cleared and allowed a game of football to be played. When it was, Schalke came out on top despite a spirited display by the home side. The difference was a moment of individual brilliance by Daniel Caligiuri early in the second half.
