One of the regions where human trafficking is rampant is the Greater Mekong Sub-region. This includes Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
According to the latest report by the aid organization World Vision, trafficking into the sex industry is just one of many forms of abuses in the region around the Mekong River.
Children are often forced to beg or trafficked onto farms or fishing boats, or forced into domestic labour.
