China has announced firm targets for limiting its carbon dioxide emissions for the first time. Beijing said it will aim to reduce its "carbon intensity" by 45 percent by 2020. Premier Wen Jiabao is also to attend next week's climate summit in Copenhagen. The move comes a day after the US announced climate emissions targets.
