Chinese premier Wen Jiabao says his government has evidence that supporters of the Dalai Lama had incited violent protests in Tibet. Speaking to reporters, Wen said the recent anti-China protests were aimed at spoiling the summer Olympics in Beijing. The Dalai Lama has rejected accusations that he is behind the unrest.
