I studied journalism at Monash University. I went on to work for CNBC Africa in Johannesburg where I reported on South Africa’s politics, economy and stock market. I had a stint reporting on European equities at Bloomberg in London. These days I host DW’s Africa News bulletin.

What do I strive to be as a journalist?
Having left the continent I was born and raised in, I see how we’re having the same conversation but in different spaces. I want to bring young Africans together in conversation and I want my reporting to spark ideas and innovation.
