Climate anxiety: Too little, too late?
Stefan Rahmstorf, Professor of Ocean Physics who heads earth systems analysis at the renowned Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. He says: "The science is clear: we are facing catastrophic risks and we need to act fast to avoid them. It's time for decisive action, not for anxiety."
Alan Posener, blogger and commentator for the German newspaper Die Welt. He says: "We need courage, not anxiety, in order to save the climate, democracy, capitalism and the dream of a good life for everyone. Abandoning one of these aims will endanger all of them."
Clara Mayer, a high school student and spokesperson for Fridays for Future Berlin: She says: "While a certain fear shows real concern, it is important that this concern is now channeled into action, especially from large corporations and politicians, who hold a great responsibility to pass legislation controlling this crisis."
