The United Nations has launched its annual General Assembly - and the crisis on the world's financial markets has dominated the first day of speeches. French leader Nicolas Sarkozy - who currently holds the rotating EU Presidency - said the international community needs to find way to overhaul what he called the "crazy" financial system. And UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon stressed that developing countries were also endangered by the instability in global finances.
