European leaders reach agreement on EU Treaty - je 19.10.2007 08

European Union leaders meeting in Portugal have reached agreement on a landmark treaty to reform the institutions of the EU. The document replaces a draft european constitution which was rejected by Dutch and French voters in 2005. EU leaders say the new treaty prepares the bloc for the challenges of the future.
