"You need to teach people how to ration the amount of water and electricity they use. Here in Iraq we don't have a "water-saving" culture. Despite the lack of water, we squander it, just like we squander electricity. We need to cultivate an energy- and water-saving culture. Unfortunately, water is both the cheapest and most valuable resource on Earth. There are no recycling bins in Iraq and you can find heaps of garbage all over the streets in Kirkuk. People are ignorant and believe it is enough when they simply move the garbage away from their own houses. Unfortunately, the word "recycling" doesn't exist in our vocabulary."
