A motorway bridge south of the central Italian city of Ancona collapsed on Thursday, reportedly killing two motorists.
The website of the newspaper La Repubblica said they were a 60-year-old man and his 54-year-old wife who lived in the adjacent Marche region.
A photo issued by police showed a Nissan SUV crushed under the autostrada span.
The bridge is part of the A14 highway, between Ancona South and Loreto.
The local fire brigade posted a video of the scene on Twitter.
The operator of the autostrada told Italian news agency Ansa that a temporary structure supporting the bridge had collapsed.
La Repubblica said the injured construction workers were Romanians.
