On the final day of a G-8 summit in Japan, the world's biggest polluters have agreed on the need for deep cuts in harmful greenhouse gas emissions. But differences remain between developed nations and emerging economies over how to go about it. Leaders of the US, China and India sat down for a special climate change meeting on the sidelines of the G8 summit. But no specific agreements were made and the developing nations said the G8's call to halve global emmissions by the year 2050 didn't go far enough.
