Deutsche Bahn, Germany's national railway, sealed a deal with German telecommunications company T-Mobile to equip its Intercity trains with WLAN to allow wireless Internet access. The CEOs of Deutsche Bahn (DB), Helmut Mehdorn, and T-Mobile, Kai-Uwe Ricke are expected to provide details about the agreement on March 11, at the CeBIT technology trade fair in Hanover. A spokesman for DB said the train stations served by Intercity trains will also be outfitted with WLAN. Currently only the 24 national DB lounges are thus equipped.
