Now while scientists are still arguing over whether climate change is actually HAPPENING, conservationists on the Isle of May are already seeing some dramatic effects. Here sea birds like the puffin – a regular visitor during the breeding season - have been becoming rarer over the past few years. And scientists are sure that it’s no mere coincidence that the United Kingdom has seen seven of its ten hottest years over the last decade.
