Inside Europe: Catalonian separatists and Spanish justice

A Spanish court had summoned ousted Catalonian leader Carles Puigdemont for questioning on Thursday. He didn’t appear. But other Catalan politicians and lawmakers did. Possible charges include rebellion, sedition and embezzlement. After their failed bid for independence, the Spanish authorities are determined to pursue legal proceedings against them.
