They're calling it the "Triangle of Death" - an area across most of the Horn of Africa where 12 million people are dying of starvation. The UN's World Food Program plans to extend its emergency aid airlift to cover the border region around Dollo in Ethiopia. In the refugee camps along the Kenyan border, hundreds of thousands are living off emergency rations. Yesterday, the organisation managed to deliver several tons of food rations to the Somali capital. But government troops and African Union have been forced to fight their way through Islamist militant groups in Mogadishu... The Al-Shebab militias deny there is a food crisis and have refused aid agencies access to areas under their control.
