Kyrgyzstan votes in a referendum to back a new constitution

Kyrgyzstan has voted to approve a new constitution. More than ninety percent voted in favor of introducing parliamentary democracy in the Central Asian country. The result is being viewed as a victory for the interim government. But critics have denounced Sunday's controversial referendum saying it will create more instability in Kyrgyzstan. +++LM RAUS+++ It came just weeks after the worst enthnic violence in the country in two decades - killing several hundred people. Some 400,000 people, mostly ethnic Usbeks were also displaced as a result of the violence.
