Nuremberg Past and Present
October 16, 2020Until World War Two, Nuremberg was one of the most vibrant cities in Europe, with a beautifully preserved medieval center. When the bombs began to fall, the city was almost completely destroyed.
Nevertheless, today’s city offers a picturesque ambience. One of the surviving townhouses from Nuremberg’s golden age is the house of Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528). The home and studio of one of Germany’s most famous painters is now a museum.
