Poor equipment and insufficient medical care: Scathing criticism on the state of the German armed forces

The German parliament's Armed Forces Commissioner, Reinhold Robbe, has roundly criticized Bundeswehr leadership on a whole number of issues in his annual report. Rampant bureaucracy, unclear leadership structures and outdated plans for the use of personnel and materials headed his list. He had particularly harsh words for the Bundeswehr's medical corps leadership - going as far as accusing them of failure.
