The newest Yaris has a more striking, modern appearance. The project management for the facelift was headquartered in France. Europe is seeing tough competition in the B segment. To set itself off from the crowd, in 2012 the Japanese manufacturer came out with a hybrid version of the Yaris. Demand for the hybrid version exceeds the company's expectations that 25 percent of Yarises sold would be ordered with hybrid engines. The actual proportion is 40 percent. And Toyota hopes the facelift will increase that number even more.
