Following the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child, Deutsche Welle takes a look at royal children from around the world.
Prince George
Prince George is third in line to the British throne. He was born a healthy 3.9kg on July 22, 2013. His parents Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have experienced a lot of public attention from the international media.
Princes William and Harry
Princess Diana and Prince Charles sit together with their children William and Harry. Prince William, the eldest, was born June 21, 1982. His brother, Harry, was born September 15, 1984. The two boys tragically lost their mother in a Paris car accident in 1997.
Prince Hisahito of Japan
Third in line to become Emperor of Japan, Prince Hisahito is the third child and only son of Fumihito, Prince Akishino and Kiko, Princess Akishino. He weighed 2.3kg at birth and was the first male child born into the Imperial House of Japan since his father's birth in 1965.

Princess Estelle of Sweden
Crown Princess Victoria holds Princess Estelle, who was born February 23, 2012 weighing 3.3kg. She is the only child of Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland. Princess Estelle is second in line to the Swedish throne.
