February 1, 2016Advertisement
Regarded as one of the most important works of romantic Historicism in Europe, Schwerin Palace is also known as the Neuschwanstein of the north. Visitors can tour the magnificent living quarters and festive rooms. These include the throne room and the ancestral portrait gallery. The palace isn't just a museum though; it is also a place of work. Since 1990, this has been the seat of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state assembly.
