Germany's government round table on the sexual abuse of children is holding its first session in Berlin today. It's focusing on the prevention of abuse and helping the victims. Working groups are expected to begin their discussions in the coming weeks. And along with tougher legal guidelines and harsher criminal and financial penalties for pedophiles , participants will also be looking at a number of programs to increase public awareness. A number of organizations that help the victims say it will be difficult for politics to prevent abuse from occuring. But like those they represent - these groups ARE calling for complete accountability for the perpetrators and those who abet them.
