The BOBs - Best of Online Activism

The internet has opened up new channels of communication for many people with disabilities. German blogger Julia Probst shows how you can use blogs for political agendas.

Julia Probst was born deaf and grew up speaking in sign language. She uses her blog and her Twitter account to speak out light-heartedly for the rights of people with disabilities. Her commitment has won her a nomination for "The BOBs", the competition for online activism. Since 2004 Deutsche Welle has been honoring international bloggers with the award.
