In Syria, fears are growing of a new massacre in the Sown of Al-Heffa, close to the border with Turkey. UN observers say they have reports of a large number of civilians trapped inside the town - including women and children. And the United Nations has placed the government of President Bashar al-Assad on its annual "list of shame", accusing it of arresting, torturing and killing children.
