In Ecuador the number of so-called Niñas Madres – or child mothers – who became pregnant before the age of 15, rose by an alarming rates. NGOs accuse the government of not respecting the rights of these girls, because they force them to carry out the pregnancies without giving them access to abortions, even in cases of rape.
